記念すべき第１回目の読み聞かせ！
『こえだのとうさん』のはじめての読み聞かせが行われたのは、12月5日。アメリカ・ノースダコタのグランドフォークス日本語学校。こちらは、2015年9月に設立されたばかりの出来立てほやほやの小さな日本語学校です。グランドフォークスは、2013年、堀北真希さん主演のミスパイロットも撮影されたパイロット養成学校のある場所としても有名なところです。
ここに通う子供たちは、みんなバイリンガル。日本語と英語で交互に読み聞かせをしました。
今回は、この日のために超特大の絵本を作成。主人公のこえだのとうさんの表情をみんなに楽しんでもらいたかったからです。読み聞かせのあとは、日本語学校の先生と一緒に、お話しのおさらいをして、学習タイム。そのあと、こえだのとうさんの塗り絵を楽しみました！
最後は、クリスマスも近いとあって、小枝つながりでアイスの棒を使って、かわいいオーナメントを作りました。みんな一生懸命に作ってくれました。
これからも、アメリカの日本語学校を中心に、バイリンガル読み聞かせをやっていきたいと思います。絵本は子どもの想像力を育む最高の教材です。積極的に活用しましょう♪
